We started a few Categories for the forum.
Teaching Data Carpentry for issues around teaching workshops and developing lessons, expecting that's a place where instructors will mainly look and contribute.
Resources with the idea that it will be a place where learners or instructors can post questions for advice or contribute or look for information on learning more.
Local Software and Data Carpentry Groups so that people who want to coordinate activities locally can do so there. Any local group can be created there.
Social Sciences Data Carpentry for discussion around the development of Social Sciences Data Carpentry content.
What other Categories should there be? Should any of these ones be renamed or categorized?
Neuroimaging Data Carpentry for discussion around the development of Neuroimaging Data Carpentry content.
I think having a broad category for "special topics" like social sciences, Neuroimaging, geospatial, climate data, Genomics, Ecology etc, would be a good idea for the top level. Then each special topic would appear as a category under that (I'm assuming you can nest categories). If all the special topics go in at the root level the list would get long fast!
